Time and frequency synchronisation in tdma-ofdm based high speed wireless local area networks

چکیده
Downlink synchronisation emr estimarors suited for OFDM-TDMA wireless LAN are presented. The focus is on the timing error estimator, which is of the Early-Late type and has a low complexity, making it attractive for high speed systems. It also allows a large sharing of the computational burden with the fnquency ermr estimator. The estimator is presented and analysed. Simulations art performed to asses the pexfonnance of the synchronisation system over indoor channels.

An OFDM-TDMA/SA MAC Protocol with QoS Constraints for Broadband Wireless LANs
Abstract— Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is an important technique to support high speed transmission of broadband traffic in wireless networks, especially broadband wireless local area networks (LANs). Based on OFDM, a new multiple access scheme, called OFDM-TDMA with subcarrier allocation (OFDMTDMA/SA), is introduced in this paper. It provides more flexibility in resource a...
متن کاملOFDM-based Medium Access with Rate Constraints
For wireless local area networks based on OFDM we study the sum rate of time and frequency division multiple access (TDMA, OFDMA) as well as superimposed transmission (SUP). In the analysis traffic-imposed constraints on the maximum exploitable user rates apply. For a large number of subcarriers the effective sum rate is low with TDMA but much higher with OFDMA and SUP. The spatial properties o...

. Orthogonal Frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) has recently been proposed for use in high data-rate wireless systems. OFDM has an important property of spectrum utilization technique that distributes each tone, which is orthogonal with every other tone. The system capacity can be significantly improved by multiple transmit and receive antennas that are used to form Multi-input multi-output...
